The Crescent at Fells Point apartments continues to receive horrible reviews from it’s tenants at ApartmentRating.com. Previous reviews have said things like:
Overpriced Ripoff - The folks who manage this place you be in jail for false advertising
The latest review is even more scathing:
I would strongly caution anyone who is looking into renting here-I am actually surprised that no reviews have been left in a few months. We were happy at first-until the Leasing Office staff began to show their true colors.But first of all, this complex is grossly overpriced,they do NOT provide services mentioned on the website yet our rent never changed(no bikes,no trainer,few events and the ones they do host typically suck),the hallways are hot and stink of cigarette/cigar smoke [Ed: and dog urine],the hardwood floors are cheap,they did a shoddy job on the paint,the pool is TINY and usually taken up by one of the Leasing Staff's friends (that probably do not even live here),and there is dog poop EVERYWHERE.You are pretty much paying to be on the water-so if this is important to you I suggest checking the Eden or Harbor East.As for the staff-with the exception of Andre and the Maintence guys (Dan and Kevin),I have never met more unprofessional people-one of the leasing girls shows up drunk all over town and has no sense of customer service what-so-ever.She makes this company look so bad.At this point in the ballgame, you can probably BUY in Baltimore for about the same you will pay in rent...
Ouch! I am suspect of anonymous reviews that say things like “a little piece of Heaven!”. Were these posted by the staff?

When you have an all black staff, what do you expect? I went in for the tour, saw the staff and knew what I would be in store for if all blacks were in charge of managing this property. I am not racist, but it's true. Sorry!
The ignorant is always first to speak up. The manager is actually white! I've never heard such nonsense. I've experienced the best customer service here. Maybe, you should look inward to really evaluate what the problem really is. This community is, by far, one of the best in Baltimore. As for the previous comment... What do you expect? You're in a city full of black people! I wonder how you'll feel when the country is run by one...
No one who says "knew what I would be in store for if all blacks were in charge" can claim NOT to be a racist. As Stacy pointed out, the manager is actually tall blonde and very white, but that's not the point.
Not that I would recommend The Crescent to anyone, but they definitely don't need another racist like you living there. Maybe you should try Iowa.
I agree that the brick and mortar structure is one of the better in Baltimore, but the people running the show (black and white) are not delivering on the promises they make when you put pen to paper and sign a lease.
This place COULD be great, but unfortunately it fails when it comes to customer service.
Horrible place! Service couldn't be worse. People working in the management have such an attitude you would think they own the place. Somehow they should realize they are there to help those who DO live in the building...In any case, major mistake I moved in this place. Can't wait for my lease to expire. Strongly advise against this building. Please contact me before you decide to move in.
